Discharge procedure

Once you have been approved for discharge by your consultant doctor, the resident doctors and nurses compile a document called the “discharge summary”. This file is then sent to the in-patient billing reception for clearance, following which a detailed final bill is prepared. When the final bill is ready, you must clear your dues at the allocated billing counter. The entirety of this process takes around three hours after receipt of the discharge note from the consultant.

In case of any third party insurance policy, the process may take longer because approval of the final bill has to be confirmed by your insurance provider.
